Awful experience! We bought 5 items in total and one of it is a gift for a friend. We kindly asked for a package for the gift, as simple as a transparent plastic bag, but the staff could only give us a nearly broken one and he literally just throw the scarf in the bag like a piece of garbage and handed to us. We were a bit shocked by his attitude, but we still kindly asked if we could have a new bag. The staff refused and said he could only offer us the used one as all of their packages are reused. We simply couldn’t give a gift in that condition so we asked for a refund and he refused again!! We haven’t even stepped outside of the store, I couldn’t think of any reason that they don’t accept returns other than they just don’t want to cooperate at all. We checked Kiltane’s return policy and they do accept return in 30 days, so i don’t know what sort of “return policy” does House of Edinburgh have. We liked the Kiltane product but I would never shop at this store again. It almost feel like a bullying experience in all honesty. I’d avoid this store at all costs!!!

I have been a here a few times, as the years goes by the price also goes up, uality of service has dropped and dropped. I asked if I can get a discount for buying a few things, the sales laughed and said if you bought 10+ maybe I can 'apply' for an discount. not a very good experience. also with almost every cashmere shop selling the same things for identical prices I don't encourage anyone buying fro this shop. will definitely never return again

On my recent trip to Scotland, I visited your store several times. I found the quality of the garments to be exceptional, and the value; outstanding! I've worked in the customer service field for over 30 years, and I found your staff to be courteous, professional and extremely helpful. One of your female sales representatives was incredibly helpful, and genuinely caring. I truly appreciated her kindness and assistance, as I'm handicapped, and walk with a cane. I was having difficulty accessing my wallet, to make my purchase; and she made me feel like it was ok that I needed a few extra minutes to complete my task. I'm sorry that I can't remember her name, but she was a young woman, and I believe she may have been from Slovenia. I returned to make additional purchases, as a result of her kindness and patience. (I'm a two time cancer survivor, with chronic pain which can be quite debilitating. My hands became numb, and I was having difficulty reaching into my wallet). All employees at this location treated myself and those around me; with dignity and respect. I'd recommend this store to anyone visiting Scotland. Beautiful merchandise, excellent selection of good quality, stylish clothing and accessories; reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful staff.

I found the most artistic and fun scarf there. It had the city’s buildings drawn on a tan cashmere backdrop. The price was what is expected and staff were very helpful. I like the unique quality design work they offer.
